“During the funeral of his mother, Al-Harith Al-Akli (radiAllahu anhu) weeped. When asked for the reason of his tears he said, “Why should I not cry when one of my doors to Paradise has now closed?”—
Hadith tentang “Syurga tertelak di bawah telapak kaki ibu” adelah hadith da’if. Nonetheless, matan hadith itu tak salah kalau kita ‘praktikkan’. Cume..jgn obsessed ngn hadith itu ah. (:
But mmg btol. (: (:
I would like to thank you girls for the overwhelming respond on submitting a picture of you in hijab. Thank you again. However, I would like to apologized for not publishing some of your photos. Mainly because I have my own rules that I abide too in wearing the hijab, and I do not want to publish photos that go against my philosophy.
For example, I was thought by my mother to always cover my chest, use long sleeve and wear loose clothing and yes, you can be fashionable by abiding to this rule (based on personal experience). Thus I would like to apologize if you actually submitted a photo that I did not publish because of the reason above^^
But keep the photos coming y’all. I believe as imperfect humans, we always learn from the bad and follow the good!
Asalamulakum brothers and sisters, I’m a sister from a non religious family that is seeking for a reason for life, a reason for me on this earth. There must be one, mustn’t there? My name and nationality is not required for you all to understand what I am going through. It may hinder your thoughts of why I’m considering converting to Islam.
Come with me on this journey that’ll change my life forever, help me through my queries and how to come to terms with my lives fate.
“Everything that Allah (SWT) made valuable in the world is covered and hard to get to. Where do you find diamonds? Deep down in the ground covered and protected. Where do you find pearls? Deep down at the bottom of the ocean covered up and protected in a beautiful shell. Where do you find gold? Way down in the mine, covered with layers and layers of rock. You’ve got to work hard to get to them. A lady’s body is sacred. We’re far more precious than diamonds and pearls. This is the beauty of Hijab”
Anas ibn Malik said, “A woman came to ‘A’isha and ‘A’isha gave her three dates. She gave each of her two children a date and kept one date for herself. The children ate the two dates and then looked at their mother. She took her date and split in it two and gave each child half of it.
The Prophet, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, came and ‘A’isha told him about it. He said, ‘Are you surprised at that? Allah will show her mercy because of her mercy towards her child.’”
what do you usually do when a sales person knock on your door?
you peep at the hole and make the littlest noise possible and then wait for the person to go.
Have you ever ever given a thought of how that person is feeling? Have you evr put yourself in that person shoes?
What if he is a father to kids at home who yearn for a proper meal? What if he has been on his feet for 12 hours a day trying to make an honest living?
What would you feel if you are in his shoes?
From young my parents thought me never to open the door when someone carrying a big plastic bag is at the front of your house. But from young I always wish my mother would allow me, to at least be courteous enough to look and maybe buy something that we might like, well, as long as you have money.
Now that I’m old enough, I always open the door and asked what they are selling, and I make sure that I buy at least something from them.
Do you realize how much hope that person has when you open the door?
So seconds ago, someone knock, when I answered the door he was just about to walk way. Honestly from the peep hole I thought he was a girl and I didn’t wear my hijab (may Allah forgive my ignorance) . But it turned out to be a man, probably form Malaysia, Batam or Indonesia, he got a mixed accent.
He was about my fathers age, perspiring and looking very tired, an he was carrying two huge plastic bag. He was indeed selling crackers, or the Malays would call it ‘keropok’. it really tore my heart that he was bout to walk away and as soon as I opened he quickly turn back and gave me a smile and greet me “assalamualikum” he said. I answered feeling very ashamed and full of regrets for not using my hijab. He asked if my parents were in, I answered truthfully and said that my mum is doing her prayers. then he asked a question, well its more of asking for a wish ” adek tolonglah beli keropok saye ” / “sister please buy my crackers” and he did it with a smile, Masyallah such sheer determination. Only Allah knows how much I wanted to say yes, YES I WANT TO BUY, PLEASE HOLD ON WHILE I TAKE SOME MONEY. However, the fact is, Yes I want to buy, but I’m a 17 year old school girl and I really don’t have money. My mum is praying she would probably give me a earful if asked for money :( Thus I did something that was against my philosophy, I shook my head, just put yourself in his shoes. Imagine the overwhelming disappointment and sadness that would rush in, when someone who had just opened the door, rejected you.
He politely smiled at me gave me a little nod, picked up his two huge plastic bag, said assalamualaikum and turn away. Again only ALLAH knows how it breaks my heart, i actually teared up a little. I hope that he finds a really nice customer who has money and will buy his crackers. Allah please help him, he is such a nice person.

When there is only a single star left in the sky. At that very moment the path of forgiveness will close. The writing in the Quran will vanish. The sun will lower itself with the earth. Prophet Muhammad S.A.W said “who ever delivers this news to someone else. I will on the day of judgement make her/him a place in jannah”.
