In times of despair like this, I always wish Rasullah is still alive. I imagine him sitting in a veranda or just anywhere, with his companions in the picture at times, and I ask him the solution for this pain/despair/sadness/ (INSERT ANY WORD YOU WANT), basically everything.
At times like this I wish I was an alim with lots of knowledge on hadiths, or at least memorize some to lift this grief of mine, but since I’m obviously not one, ….ermmm I don’t feel like continuing this sentence.
Suddenly it struck me, I always have Allah, always, I can lift my hands and dua and I can take out the Quran and read.
But saying that I still wish I have Rasullah with me. Laiillahaillah muhammadarasullah.
on a side note tomorrow is my fristday as a student-teacher, i think i should paste :Nawaitu Lillahita’ala “infornt of my room mirror to remind me that I do this for Allah, service to his makhluk. I still remmebr an ukhti that I respect and love dearly told me “you keje childcare? kene bersihkan najis dan mandi kan dorang kan? Masyallah kerje yang sungguh mulia” well, something along those lines, the main point is for the first time, it made me feel motivated to be in this line of work instead of dreading my each step to school/work. But oh wells, I’m 18, lots of things can happen whatever it is(back to the main point) I shoud do everything for Allah, and of course with rasullah in mind as my role model.
I wish I was born or brought up in a country that isn’t too westernized. I wish I was born in a country that has a strong influence in Islam. It’s so difficult to be in a country that is too westernized. The western culture in my country is way too strong, though my country practices racial…
I liked the answer of this German Muslim scholar when he was asked about terrorism and Islam: He said: Who started the first world war? Muslims? Who started the second world war? Muslims? Who killed about 20 millions of Aborigines in Australia? Muslims? Who sent the nuclear bombs of Hiroshima and Nagasaki? Muslims? Who killed more than 100 millions of Indians in North America? Muslims? Who killed more than 50 millions of Indians in south America? Muslims? Who took about 180 millions of African people as slaves and 88% of them died and were thrown in Atlantic ocean? Muslims? No, they weren't Muslims! First of all, you have to define terrorism properly... If a non-Muslim does something bad, it is crime. But if a Muslim commit same, he is terrorist... So remove this double standard.
“It is better to sit alone than in company with the bad, and it is better still to sit with the good than alone. It is better to speak to a seeker of knowledge than to remain silent, but silence is better than idle words”—The Prophet Mohammed (S.A.W)
“When you are sick, delicious food doesn’t taste good to you. Why? Because you are sick and there is nothing wrong with the food. The pleasure of praying is the same thing. We don’t understand how great the taste of true prayer is because we have diseased souls that are preventing us from experiencing the amazing pleasure of salat.”—Sheikh Alie (via nargessi)
